3/24 Hiking Fellowship #163 Talus Loop, Lower Mount Si. This is a moderately strenuous hike. It is 4.5 miles with 1400 feet of elevation gain. There is a short (150 feet) section of exposed talus slope that some people with height or vertigo challenges might find difficult. We will meet at the OPPC parking lot at 12:30 PM to carpool to the trailhead. Contact Nancy Devine or Neal Nelson for more information! 

On Palm Sunday, the OPPC’s Drop In circle is hosting a mini craft sale with Spring and Easter goodies! The sale will take place in the Narthex after worship and all proceeds will benefit PorchLight.

Donations of cash or checks are preferred.

3/10 Hiking Fellowship Hike #162, Tradition Plateau Loop, Lower Tiger Mountain. This will be an easy hike suitable for all who can walk on a trail. The hike will be a 2.7-mile round trip with about 100 feet of ascent. We will hike a forest loop at Tiger Mountain and experience the gift of nature that is our Pacific Northwest including a swamp, large trees, wetlands, a lake and a surprise feature (!) We will meet in the OPPC parking lot a 12:30pm to carpool to the trailhead. Contact Nancy Devine or Neal Nelson for more information!

The book is called When Church Stops Working by Andrew Root. This provocatively titled book invites us to consider how God is at work in the 21st century church. Jubilee Reach Volunteer Opportunity

During the pandemic, members of OPPC have been purchasing and delivering groceries and staples to Jubilee Reach for distribution to families in the community in need. In addition, almost 20 members have periodically volunteered, some members multiple times, to work at Jubilee Reach to receive and process groceries and supplies donated by churches like OPPC and other organizations. This is a wonderful way for the OPPC community to get to know and care for our neighbors.

We want to open this opportunity to the whole church community! We hope you will be able to join us.

• When: February from 8:30 AM to about noon at Jubilee Reach. Please sign up if you're available. Thank you!

• Work Crew: 8 members of OPPC

• Work activity: Receive bags of groceries and donated supplies like diapers, verify contents, sort through produce donated by grocery stores, organize for future distribution, any other related work that may be required.
