Hello,
Many years
ago I heard a preacher speak on John 10:10, Life Beyond the
Comma. I’ve never forgotten that devotional. Jesus said, "I
have come that they (all of us) might have life (comma)
…abundant life." This is not a promise for material riches,
but a promise of a life that is rich...rich in joy and love
and peace and hope and faith.
It is through our relationship with Jesus (the name means
“the Lord saves/heals”) that we can experience the richness
of life as it was meant to be - in relationship with the God
of Creation, the God who calls us by name, the God who
desires to bring us the healing and wholeness we need, in
order to be all we were created to be.
I love seeing people of all ages realize that our God is a
personal God that cares about them individually. It’s what
motivates me and gives me joy. My desire for all who come to
OPPC, whether child, youth or adult, is to experience
opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus,
learn to worship and serve God passionately and be
surrounded and supported by a loving Christian community.
Blessings to you!
Rev. Vonna Thomas
